Who we are
Both myadsteam.com and carolroderick.ca are owned and operated by Connection Engine Inc., a Nova Scotia company, operating as My Ads Team and as Carol Roderick, PhD. "We", "us" and "our" on this page mean Connection Engine Inc. under either name. "You" means anyone using either website or our services.

By using either website you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the sites.
The content on both sites is general information. It can change without notice. We work to keep it accurate, but we make no warranty that it is complete, current or suitable for your purpose, and we are not liable for errors to the fullest extent the law allows. Using any information or material on these sites is at your own risk.
Trademarks shown on these sites that we do not own belong to their owners and are acknowledged as such.
We may link to other websites for your convenience. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for what those sites contain.
Unauthorized use of these websites may give rise to a claim for damages or be a criminal offence.
These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nova Scotia.
Working with us: fees, minimums and cancellation
Prices published on either site are starting prices. Canadian clients pay in CAD plus applicable tax. American clients pay the same number in USD.
What each site sells:
- My Ads Team (myadsteam.com): SEO and AI SEO, Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram ads, and websites.
- Carol Roderick, PhD (carolroderick.ca): AI consulting and implementation, the AI Context Kit, the AI Visibility Check and fix work, and digital employees.
Monthly retainers have a three-month minimum. After the first three months, either side can end the retainer with 30 days' written notice to the email address for that site. Retainers include:
- SEO and AI SEO management
- Google Ads management
- Facebook and Instagram ads management
Projects have no minimum term. Each project is scoped and priced before it starts. Projects include:
- Ad setup and go
- The Advertising Audit or Strategy
- Homepage mock-ups and website builds
- AI consulting and implementation projects
- The AI Context Kit
- The AI Visibility Check fix list and done-for-you fix work
- Building a digital employee
Ad spend is separate from our fees and is paid directly to the platform, such as Google or Meta.
Where a signed client agreement exists, that agreement governs the engagement. If it conflicts with this page, the signed agreement wins.
SMS terms
We aim to comply with A2P 10DLC requirements for text messaging.
If you agree to receive text messages from us, you can stop at any time by replying STOP. We will confirm by text that you are unsubscribed, and you will receive no further messages. To rejoin, sign up again the way you did the first time. Reply HELP for help, or email carol@carolroderick.ca.
After you opt in, you may receive messages for up to 14 days, then two to three messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Privacy policy
This policy explains how Connection Engine Inc. collects, uses and protects information you give us through myadsteam.com or carolroderick.ca. We may update it by changing this page; the date at the top shows the latest version.
What we collect
- Your name
- Contact details, including email address and phone number
- Information such as postal or ZIP code, preferences and interests
- Anything else you choose to share through a form, booking, survey or email
How we use it
- To respond to you and deliver the services you ask for
- For internal records
- To improve our services and websites
- To send occasional emails about our services or information we think is useful, if you have agreed to receive them
- To contact you for market research by email or phone, if you have agreed to it
We do not sell, rent or lease your personal information. We share it only with your permission, with service providers who help us run our business (for example our CRM, booking and email tools) and are bound to protect it, or where the law requires it.
AI tools and your business data
AI consulting and digital employee work means some of your business information passes through AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Before any build, we agree with you what data goes where, what AI tools can touch and what stays internal. Client confidentiality obligations are respected.
The instructions, knowledge and memory we build for a digital employee live in systems your business owns, so the work stays with your business if we stop working together.
Security
We use reasonable physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to protect the information we collect.
Cookies
Both sites use cookies and similar tools to understand how pages are used, so we can improve them. This data is used for statistical analysis. You can set your browser to refuse cookies; some parts of the sites may not work as well if you do.
Minors
We do not offer services to anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not send us personal information.
Opting out and correcting your information
There is one opt-out route for both sites. To stop receiving marketing from us, or to ask us to correct or delete information we hold about you, email carol@carolroderick.ca. You can also use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or reply STOP to any text message.
We will correct inaccurate information promptly.
Disclaimers
No guarantees
We do not guarantee results from any service, recommendation or information on these sites. Results depend on your business, your market, your budget, your effort and many factors outside our control. Past results for other clients do not promise the same result for you.
AI output
AI tools and digital employees can make mistakes. We design for review and oversight, but you remain responsible for checking AI-generated work before you rely on it or send it to your clients. We do not guarantee that an AI tool will recommend or describe your business in any particular way.
Testimonials and results
Testimonials and results on these sites are real statements from real clients. They are not necessarily typical, and they are not a promise of what you will achieve.
Earnings
Any revenue, sales or return figures we publish are examples, not a promise or expectation of earnings. Running a business carries risk. Examples of actual results can be verified on request.
Affiliate links
We may occasionally include affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them. We only affiliate with products and people we believe are useful, and we will say when a link is an affiliate link. Decide for yourself whether any offer is right for you.

We are not part of, or endorsed by, Google, Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic or any other platform. Facebook and Instagram are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.
Availability
We work to keep both sites running smoothly but are not liable if either is temporarily unavailable for reasons beyond our control.
